going to the getty!

since we had to pick up michael's passport at the federal building (yes, he actually ran out of pages to stamp) , we thought we'd spend the last day of 2008 at the getty center--we've been having fun with siebold's

going to the getty book and owen spent the entire ride singing "we're going to the getty" (and in the tram line sang "we went to the getty and now we're going home")

there's a fantastic little "family fun" exhibit at the center--and what could be more fun than re-arranging a hockney or writing your own manuscript?

we spent about 7 minutes inside the center looking at impressionist paintings--and while we didn't get to do they monet haystack-hat trick owen did point out that there was only one white iris in the van gogh. that made mommy's day.

a gorgeous socal winter day--and we even got a picture of owen smiling at the camera!
